Returns & Refunds
At Covent Garden Tables, we take great care in selecting and delivering furniture of exceptional quality. All products undergo quality control checks prior to dispatch to ensure they leave us in excellent condition. However, on rare occasions damage may occur during transit, or an item may arrive with a fault or missing component.
Product Characteristics
Many of our collections feature antique reproductions and artisan-crafted furniture, which are intentionally distressed or aged to create an authentic character and heritage aesthetic.
As part of this design process, items may include:
- Natural imperfections
- Distressed finishes
- Subtle variations in colour or texture
These characteristics are considered part of the intended design and craftsmanship, rather than product faults. Please also note that colours and finishes may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, and individual screen displays. If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, we aim to make the returns process as clear and straightforward as possible.
At the Time of Delivery
We kindly ask that you inspect your items at the point of delivery where possible. If any visible damage is identified, the item should be refused and returned with the delivery company, or the delivery documentation should be signed as “damaged”.
We understand that not all damage can be identified immediately at the point of delivery. For this reason, customers have up to 24 hours from the time of delivery to notify us of any damage, faults, or missing parts.
Damage, faults, or missing parts must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Unfortunately, issues reported after this period may not be eligible for investigation or resolution, as courier claims are often time sensitive.
Whilst occurrences of transit damage are rare, we greatly appreciate your cooperation and understanding, which helps us resolve any issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Reporting an Issue
If an issue is discovered within this period, please contact us at info@coventgardentables.com and provide:
- A clear description of the issue
- Multiple photographs of the item
- Photographs of the affected area and packaging where possible
This information allows us to investigate promptly and liaise with the relevant manufacturer, supplier, or courier.
Where possible, we will work with you to reach the most appropriate resolution. If a return is required, the item must be repackaged using the original packaging and protective materials where possible to prevent further damage during transit. Replacement items will be arranged once the returned goods have been received and inspected.
Returns
You have 14 days from the date of delivery to notify us of your intention to return an item. Once your return request has been approved by our returns team, you will have a further 14 days to ensure the item is delivered to the return address provided. Returns received outside of this timeframe will not be eligible for a refund.
Before returning any item, please ensure you have emailed us and received confirmation from our returns team that your return has been approved. Returns sent without prior authorisation will not be accepted or processed.
Unless otherwise agreed, it is the customer’s responsibility to arrange and cover the cost of any third-party courier used to return items. All returned goods must be sent back to Covent Garden Tables with the address that we have provided to you in unused, undamaged condition and in their original packaging, suitable for safe transit. The item remains your responsibility until it has been safely received and inspected by us.
Any items returned with transit damage caused during customer-arranged shipping will not be eligible for a refund. For this reason, we strongly recommend arranging appropriate transit insurance when returning goods.
To qualify for a return, items must be:
- Unused and in resalable condition
- Complete with all parts
- Returned in original or appropriate protective packaging
Items that do not meet these conditions may be subject to a repackaging fee of up to 50% of the item value, which will be deducted from the final refund. All returned items are subject to inspection and quality control checks prior to the processing of any refund.
Assembly & Installation
For items that require assembly or installation, we strongly recommend reviewing the instructions and parts list carefully before installation begins.
Please ensure:
- All parts are present
- The product can be assembled strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
We cannot accept responsibility for items that have been incorrectly assembled, installed, or altered. Where appropriate, we recommend that installation is carried out by qualified professionals such as experienced joiners or electricians.
Outlet Products
Outlet products may be returned in accordance with this policy. However, as many outlet pieces are limited stock or one-off items, we may not be able to offer a direct exchange for the same product.
B2B & Trade Customers
For B2B and trade customers, please note that change-of-mind returns are not accepted.
Order Cancellations
Under the United Kingdom Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers based in the UK have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving the goods.
The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which the goods are delivered to your nominated delivery address. To exercise your right to cancel, please email our team at info@coventgardentables.com with your order details.
Orders Already Dispatched
If your order has already been dispatched or delivery has been arranged, you may still cancel within the 14-day cancellation period. However, any costs incurred from our logistics partners for delivery, booking, or collection may be deducted from your refund to cover the expenses already charged to us.
